Mariano, nicknamed "Lenny", has been on the Italian blues scene since 1990 with "The 33 street Band", Rock & Roll Band where he played for 4 years in clubs in Lombardia, Piemonte and Switzerland. With them he supports Peter Glaser (USA) and Tim Kreekel (USA). In January 1994 he co-founds "Mr Blues & Family", blues & swing band where he plays for 2 years, performing in clubs and festivals all over northern Italy. With them he also acts as a supporting musician for Noel Redding (bass player of the Jimi Hendrix Experience) and others international artists. During this period he also spends a lot of time on 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 2002 and 2004 in the USA and gets the chance to know, befriend and play with some of the best contemporary texan blues artists like Sam Myers (Elmore James, Jimmy Rogers, Anson Funderburgh & The Rockets), Hash Brown, Mike Morgan (Mike Morgan & The Crawl), Jim Shuler (Jim Shuler & The Monkey Beat), Holland K. Smith. He performs with them in various clubs of the Dallas area. His ever increasing love for Texas music leads him to found the Snakedoctors in the end of 1995. Lenny has also often supported US artists during their Italian tours, in 1997 Black Top / Antone's artist's Gary Primich from Austin - TX, without any doubt one of the top harp players on the blues scene today and Jumpin' Johnny Sansone , blues - zydeco harp player from New Orleans.
